What Does It Mean To Be part of The Community?

During your edition...

Community is at the heart of everything we do. We know the power of life changing connections, both professionally and personally at Noma Collective. We're grateful to have had such a beautiful, collaborative group of people call our locations home and we can’t wait to welcome even more brilliant individuals, just like you!

Being part of the community means being a part of the Noma family. While on site, life for our Noma crews is all about health, connection, adventure and personal growth. Every week, in each location, we organize a host of activities and events that address these themes so we can all grow as a community. No two weeks are the same but expect daily community events, expert seminars on how to grow your practice, fireside chats with inspirational people, and unique excursions on the weekends to explore more parts of the country you're in.

Join any edition (trip) with us and you immediately become a Noma Alumni, gaining access to an over 600 member alumni slack channel that is there to help you navigate any part of your remote-work journey; whether that's travel tips, career advice, or a social meet up around the globe, Noma Alumni are there for you.

After your epic adventure...

The Noma effect doesn’t end there, our thriving network of talented and wonderful individuals have gone on to travel together, work on projects, study with each other and even fall in love and get married! We like to keep up to date with our past guests and pride ourselves in the burgeoning off-site connections we’ve incubated.

You also receive $150 off any future edition with us as a way to show our appreciation for our alumni!

What about the

Local Communities?

In all our endeavours a huge focus of the project is to support and positively impact the local and indigenous communities in the area. We work with the local infrastructure to further encourage eco-tourism and knowledge sharing. We provide mentorship to local businesses, like a recording studio for emerging musicians in Belize and specialised workshops and 1-1s with members of the community. It’s not a one-way street either, we frequently hire local experts in marine conversation, wildlife, traditional arts and music and more to give informative talks for our Noma Collective guests.

Part of our mission is to encourage guests to exchange skillsets and time for our project benefits; we have been supporting local community councils in their efforts to improve living conditions, with various initiatives like rubbish collections, painting days and beach cleanups. We expect all of our guests to get involved in sustainable local projects when we host them and if you have some ideas of your own - we’d love to hear them!

Our Community Is Growing!

One of the reasons why our community is so brilliant is because our alumni often recommend more wonderful people to join the crew.
