Guatemalan Cooking Class at Cuscun
An authentic culinary experience, learning to cook some Mayan cuisine and enjoying the feast for dinnerBOOK NOW
We will gather at the complex and head towards Cuscun at 6:30 pm. We will learn how to cook Tamalitos! Small Guatemalan tamales made with corn dough and are cooked inside plantain leafs. As a side dish we will also learn how to cook Pepian, a Guatemalan errand with traditional flavors from Guatemala's colonial past and the indigenous cuisine that is characterized by its spicy flavor- Meat and vegetables in a thick and rich sauce, with a combination of roasted spices like pepitoria and sesame seeds and many others well blended together.. And to end our delicious dinner, we will learn how to make Rellenitos de platano, a dish of sweet mashed plantains stuffed with a mixture of refrigerated beans, chocolate, and cinnamon! Yummy!
