Overview

There’s only one way to create the life you love – you have to actually start. Are you intrigued by the digital nomad lifestyle or want to take the next step in your journey to becoming location independent and financially free? We’re experts in remote working, in building a life that gives you ultimate freedom, and now we’re offering a unique concept: Noma Academy is here to support your digital nomad transformation. We’ve curated 5 days of workshops, community and adventure on the coast of Belize, centered around helping you become the master of your own destiny. Each of these days is carefully curated as a unique step in your remote work journey, whether you’re just starting out, or looking to finesse your lifestyle with a second residence. It’s pretty obvious that you can’t learn to be a digital nomad from your living room, so we’ve invited along some of the most inspirational individuals leading the pack on remote working and, truly, 'having it all'. They’ll be hosting talks and workshops on the basics like, negotiating with your current employment to work remotely, right up to learning tangible passive income strategies to set you up for success. Not only will you be able to learn in the sessions, but as they’ll be living on-site, you’ll get the benefit of authentic one-on-one chats around the pool with the people that did it first. Did we also mention that you’ll be staying in a Caribbean paradise, enjoying local cultural immersions, waterfall hikes, catamaran trips and more in your down time? Kick start your life of freedom, experience, and connection with Noma Collective. Get a taste of how a digitally nomadic lifestyle can be. It starts now and it starts with you.

Trip tips

Bring a go with the flow attitude

Bring a go with the flow attitude

Belize has a wonderful island life mentality and a motto in much of the country is 'Go Slow'. Things might not always go to plan, but we can assure you, you will have more beautiful experiences by learning to let loose and enjoy it for what it is.

Have heavy bandwidth requirements? Bring an ethernet cable

Have heavy bandwidth requirements? Bring an ethernet cable

With Placencia being on a peninsular, sometimes we experience power outages. Due to this, we always provide personal data hotspots to ensure you're covered in the case of dropouts. If you have heavy bandwith requirement and need a strong direct line from the modem to your laptop we recommend bringing an ethernet cable and adaptor for your laptop.

Bring business cards or connection cards to network with fellow nomads and speakers
