Everything you need to know about joining a Noma Collective Edition.
Yes, you need to have an existing part-time or full-time remote job to join. Noma Collective does not offer any remote work job opportunities.
However, our blog and social media channels are packed with resources to equip you with information about finding a remote job and navigating the digital nomad lifestyle.
Noma Collective reserves the right to cancel any booking or reject any booking request if the individual is not able to work remotely.

Our calls serve two important purposes; First, we'll discuss all the details of the locations you're interested in and answer any questions you have about what to expect on-site, as well as learn more about you and your remote work lifestyle! Secondly, Noma is all about fostering a positive and collaborative environment for a community of like-minded and hard-working professionals. The call helps us get to know you a bit better and ensure we'd be a great fit for you.
Everyone is different in terms of their lifestyle, so it is hard to give exact numbers. As a general framework, all of our locations have restaurants/bars nearby, offering a wide range of options and pricing. Each accommodation has a communal kitchen (some locations are more equipped than others; please speak with your assigned team member on your call) that gives you the flexibility to save money by going to local grocery stores and cooking your meals.
Upon booking an Edition, we will provide a location-specific budgeting sheet for food, beverages, groceries and excursions.
Looking to share a room with a friend or partner? We've got you covered! Sharing a room is a great way to save on your Noma Collective experience. Here's the deal: pay the standard "per person" rate for just one person, and add a second person to your booking for just 40% extra.
While we embrace a "the more, the merrier" mindset, please inform us via email about any visitors before their arrival. One guest per Edition is allowed per community member during the course of your stay with Noma Collective. Guests are not permitted to stay more than 7 days total, in order to respect the Noma community environment. A charge of 35% of the daily rate of your booked trip will apply for each day they are on site.
Please note that these additional guests will not have access to their own personal room (guests must share the room you have booked), as well as certain inclusions, such as airport transfers and e-sims, as listed in our Edition inclusions.
Need to change your travel plans? No worries! At Noma Collective, we understand that life happens. If you need to reschedule your trip due to personal, health, or travel reasons, we offer a flexible solution up until 90 days prior to your Edition start date, no questions asked. All Edition change requests must be submitted in writing via email.
Just let us know your new preferred destination and dates, and we simply move your deposit to another Edition (subject to availability, pricing may vary). Alternatively, we can also hold your deposit for up to one calendar year (from date of initial purchase).
Any cancellation of reservations or portions of reservations MUST be received in writing.
Bookings made after August 19th, 2024: • 90 days or more prior to arrival = The amount of the deposit made, minus 20% cancellation fee of total trip price (before discounts) + US$100 processing fee. • 0–90 days prior to arrival = No refund • No show = No refund • All shared accommodation is non-transferable
Due to the above it is HIGHLY recommended that all clients purchase "trip cancellation insurance." Cancellations due to illness, including COVID-19, within 60 days of your arrival date are not eligible for a refund.
To ensure a smooth transition, we'll send a checklist well before your arrival on what to bring/how to prepare. Think of this like an extended work trip, so be ready with all your vacation essentials plus any additional items to support your remote work needs (tech essentials, passport, insurance documents, etc.)
Every week is different but you can always count on the Noma experience. Your onsite community manager is in charge of creating a weekly schedule that includes an element of fitness, your 9-5 working hours and a daily community event that can range from a bonfire on the beach to an authentic cooking class (depending on location).
On the weekends we explore and have off-site adventures (for additional cost) such as our famous catamaran cruise day in Belize, a weekend at Lake Atitlan in Antigua, and a trip to Mendoza wine region in Argentina.
At Noma Collective, we understand that everyone has different dietary preferences. Before your Edition begins, we'll send you an "Onsite Advance Form", which allows you to specify any dietary requirements or allergies you may have. If you have any specific enquiries, then please get in touch.
Since our Editions are only between 2-4 weeks long, in most cases, you'll be able to enter the country as a tourist. However, for trips over 3 weeks, we advise visiting the embassy website of the country you're entering to view their visa requirements. Please note that Noma Collective is not responsible for you obtaining a visa.
Noma Collective does not require any vaccinations to join. However, we recommend speaking with your medical provider about the best choices for you, given the destinations you are traveling to.
We understand that service dogs are an essential part of many people's lives. Noma Collective is happy to welcome properly documented service dogs across all our locations! During your booking call, our team will help you choose the most suitable location for your needs.

The freedom and flexibility of remote work are enticing, but it's important to be realistic. You'll need a steady income stream, whether from savings or a secure remote job, to support yourself during the initial phase. Finding a stable remote position can take 3-6 months.
While we don't offer remote jobs, we do provide resources to help you find the perfect remote position. As part of the onboarding process, we'll help you navigate this decision-making process and explore all your options.
