Good to know

  • The resort is located 25/30 minutes drive from Placencia town
  • There are shuttles and taxis available at a cost.
  • Noma organizes and covers 2 grocery shuttles (on Tuesdays), scheduled after working hours (around 5:30 PM), with a round trip to the supermarket.
  • There is also a free daily shuttle at 10 AM and 2 PM. On Tuesdays and Fridays, these shuttles will wait for you while you shop, while on all other days they operate as a drop-off service only.
  • If you need to take work calls in privacy, consider getting the desk + chair add-on.
  • Umaya Resort charges a 12.5% GST on all bills and a 9% resort fee.

Our accommodation is located in The Placencia Peninsula, surrounded by Placencia Lagoon to the west and the clear Caribbean Sea to the east, this is the perfect spot for a picturesque escape. Maya Beach is a quiet area near Umaya Resort, with just a handful of restaurants, a bakery, low-key beach bars, and very limited supermarkets.
