Quito stretches along a narrow Andean valley, dramatically framed by volcanoes that put a different view at the end of every street. The Old Town is one of the best-preserved in the Americas, all cobbled lanes and gold-leaf churches. Head north to La Floresta for coffee roasters, chocolate made from some of the finest cacao, and one of South America’s best creative scenes. What makes Quito unforgettable is how much fits into one place; there’s something new around every corner.

TELEFÉRIQO CABLE CAR
Take one of the highest aerial cable cars in the world up the slopes of Pichincha Volcano and watch Quito disappear beneath you. At the top, you’ll find panoramic views across the city and Andes, with hiking trails and mountain landscapes stretching far beyond.

THE OLD TOWN
Step into Quito’s historic centre, one of the best-preserved in Latin America, and wander through grand plazas, colourful streets and centuries-old churches. From ornate interiors to bustling local markets, it’s a part of the city where Ecuador’s history feels very much alive.
