Off the coast of West Africa lies the beautiful island of Gran Canaria, known as a miniature continent because of its diverse landscapes and microclimates within a small area. Gran Canaria is a paradise for nature lovers and has everything from forests and mountains to beaches and deserts all waiting to be explored.
Its rare climate allows for Europe's only coffee plantation and the growing of tropical fruits like mangoes, papayas and avocados. We'll be staying in the beautiful village of Agaete, a great base for exploring the island at its most authentic.
