Overview
What thisEdition is

Overflowing with ancient beauty and unique architecture, Hoi An's Old Town gained its UNESCO World Heritage status in 1999 for its extremely well-preserved traditional wooden architecture, making it the only town in Vietnam to have survived intact in this way. Hoi An can be characterized by its iconic yellow walls, vibrant lantern festivals and Japanese Covered Bridge which symbolizes a fusion of Japanese, Vietnamese, and Chinese cultures. Alongside admiring the beautiful architecture of the ancient town you can explore Hoi An's famous Night Market, spin along the coconut forest on a basket boat tour or try a delicious Bánh Mì (a Vietnamese baguette sandwich).

The Vibe
Is this Edition rightfor you?

Great for

  • Street food lovers: Eating well here is consistently good and very low-effort.
  • People who like a small town vibe: Coffee at the same place every morning, familiar faces out on the streets and a pace of life that reminds you to slow down and enjoy small moments.
  • Culture lovers: You'll experience Hoi An during Tết, Vietnam's biggest festival, lanterns, local traditions, and a rare side of the city most visitors never see.

Good to know

  • The villa is located outside of town, by the rice fields, a quiet and comfortable base for a longer stay. It's around 50 minutes' walk to the central area, but bicycles are provided.
  • If you are not comfortable biking, car services like Grab are easily available.
  • Some local shops and restaurants close during Tết (around Feb 6). Plan meals and activities in advance for the last few days of the Edition.
