A year-round family hub in Próspera
Our one-month Family Edition showed what happens when remote-working parents and their kids land in a ready-made community. The Permanent Hub makes it year-round — a place to actually live, not just visit.
Próspera is one of the world's most ambitious new cities, on the turquoise shores of Roatán. Come for a light-touch month, a full school semester, or settle in for the year — and put down real roots.

How families want to live
We believe families want safety, community, great schooling and real adventure — without compromise. Our Family Edition beta and summer camp proved it, and Próspera is the rare place where all of it finally comes together.
The school year, made simple
Schooling runs in two semesters, just like home. Wrap your stay around a term so your children join, settle and finish cleanly — then extend or roll out at the end of any semester.
Autumn term, with a winter break to follow.
Spring term, running through to the start of summer.
- Join at the start of a semester for the smoothest transition
- A one-month stay can drop into the rhythm any time of year

More than a place to stay — a city built for what's next
Próspera isn't just where the hub happens to be. It's one of the world's most ambitious new cities — a special economic zone on the turquoise shores of Roatán, designed from the ground up for entrepreneurs, builders and forward-thinking families.
That ambition is what makes everyday life here feel different: modern infrastructure, a genuinely international community, and the freedom to build a life — and a business — on your own terms.
Residency, tax & business structuring
For families and founders who want a more tax-efficient or internationally optimised setup, our team can help you explore Próspera's residency, tax and business-formation pathways first-hand.
Your home and community come with every stay, and on-site schooling is included for semester and year stays. Residency and structuring are an opportunity to explore — never required to join.
What a typical week feels like
Weekdays balance school and remote work; evenings and weekends belong to the community and the island. A rhythm, not a rigid itinerary.
Sample week only. Events vary by season, cohort and local conditions.
Is this right for your family?
The hub is built for a particular kind of family. Here's who thrives — and who might not.
A great fit for
- Remote-working parents who want real community
- Families with school-age children
- Parents tired of managing logistics solo
- Entrepreneurs curious about Próspera
Maybe not for you if…
- –Travellers without children — this is built for families
- –Anyone after a city break with nightlife; this is calm island living
- –Families who want a fixed itinerary over a flexible rhythm
Where you'll live
Two ways to stay in Próspera — hotel-style suites and villas at Las Verandas, or a standalone family Residence. Both available from a single month.
Las Verandas — suites & villas
Prospera in Roatán, Honduras, is more than just a luxury destination. It's a place where families can truly unwind and connect. The accommodations are stunning, with spacious villas and condos featuring private pools, sweeping ocean views, and all the comforts of home. The amenities are top-notch: a private beach club, infinity pool, fine dining, and the Black Pearl Golf Course.
The Residences — standalone family homes
A collection of standalone houses set among quiet green spaces, a short stroll from the water (near it, not on it). Mostly two- and three-bedroom homes for families settling in, plus one large six-bedroom residence for big families or two families sharing. Available from a single month. Layouts and imagery below are indicative — final residences are confirmed on your call.
What families say
The community is the part families talk about most.
“Finally a trip where my kids were thriving and I was actually working productively. The Montessori camp was incredible. My daughter didn't want to leave.”
“We were nervous about a month away with two young kids. Noma made it feel effortless. The community of families was the highlight: friendships for life.”
“The island life, the coworking setup, the kids camp. Everything was exceptional. Próspera exceeded every expectation. We're coming back next year.”

Frequently asked questions
How long can I stay?+
Join for a month, a single semester, or a full year. You can extend at the end of any semester or roll out — it's up to you.
When do the school semesters run?+
Semester 1 runs Aug 17 to Dec 18, 2026 (18 weeks); Semester 2 runs Jan 5 to Jun 2, 2027 (21 weeks). For the smoothest transition, join at the start of a semester — though a one-month stay can drop in any time of year.
How does the schooling work?+
Children are enrolled at the on-site Montessori school in Próspera, with full school days led by trained facilitators, a short walk from your home. Semester stays integrate fully with fixed term dates. School details are available via Pristine Academy.
What ages is the school for?+
The on-site Montessori school welcomes a wide range of ages, with the child-led approach adapting across age groups. Tell us your children's ages on your call and we'll confirm the fit.
Is Próspera safe for kids?+
Próspera is a small, gated, walkable community built around families, with homes, the school and the beach club close together and easy for children to reach on foot or by bike. It's one of the main reasons families choose it.
Will we feel stuck in an expat bubble?+
No — and that's by design. Próspera sits within Roatán's real culture: local villages, markets, food and nature are part of everyday life, so your family is immersed in the place, not sealed off from it.
What's the difference between Las Verandas and the Residences?+
Las Verandas offers hotel-style suites and villas with ocean views and pools. The Residences are standalone family homes set among quiet green spaces, a short walk from the water — mostly two- and three-bedroom homes plus one six-bedroom. Both are available from a single month.
Is pricing per family or per person?+
Final semester pricing is confirmed on your call. Longer stays come at a lower monthly rate, with the Full Year being the best value.
Do you help with residency or taxes?+
Próspera is a special economic zone with its own residency, tax and business-formation pathways. Our team can connect you with these as an optional add-on — it's never required to join.
What is the cancellation policy?+
Please contact the Noma team directly for the most current cancellation and roll-out policy for the hub.
