A year-round family hub in Próspera

Our one-month Family Edition showed what happens when remote-working parents and their kids land in a ready-made community. The Permanent Hub makes it year-round — a place to actually live, not just visit.

Próspera is one of the world's most ambitious new cities, on the turquoise shores of Roatán. Come for a light-touch month, a full school semester, or settle in for the year — and put down real roots.

Families from the Noma one-month Family Edition together in Próspera
Why here

How families want to live

We believe families want safety, community, great schooling and real adventure — without compromise. Our Family Edition beta and summer camp proved it, and Próspera is the rare place where all of it finally comes together.

Families together by the homes at Próspera
Reason one

A safe, walkable village

Próspera is a small, walkable community — not a sprawling resort. Kids leave their bikes on the footpath and knock on each other's doors. So do the parents. The serendipitous, ad-hoc moments that make a childhood — and lifelong friendships — only happen somewhere small enough to walk and calm enough for kids to roam.

  • Gated, walkable and pedestrian-friendly
  • Kids bike, play and knock on doors
  • Neighbours become friends within days
Families enjoying the pool and amenities at Próspera
Reason two

A resort and a real home — at once

Normally you have to choose. A resort gives you the pools, the beach club and the courts, but no proper kitchen for a long stay. An apartment gives you the kitchen, but none of the amenities. Próspera gives you both: a fully-equipped family home and a full resort on your doorstep — infinity pools, a beach club, two beaches, tennis, an 18-hole golf course, multiple restaurants and coworking, all inside a safe, walkable community.

  • Fully-equipped kitchens & homes built for long stays
  • Two beaches, infinity pools, beach club & tennis
  • 18-hole golf course, restaurants & coworking on your doorstep
  • All within a safe, gated, walkable community
A child learning at the Montessori school
Reason three

A Montessori school you can walk to

At the heart of it all is an on-site Montessori school — a progressive, child-led education a short walk from your front door. Trained facilitators, a real curriculum and small classes mean your children keep learning and thriving, whether you stay one semester or the whole year.

  • Progressive, child-led Montessori approach
  • Walkable from every home
  • Join for a single term or the full school year
A family exploring local culture in Roatán
Reason four

Immersion & community

This is why families really come: a community of like-minded families and founders, and a place you're genuinely part of. Próspera sits within Roatán's real culture — local villages, markets, reefs and Honduran life are everyday, not a day-trip. Your family is connected to your Noma community and the local one at once, never sealed inside an expat bubble.

  • Roatán's culture, food and nature on your doorstep
  • A built-in community of like-minded families & founders
  • Connected to the local community, not walled off from it
How school works

Schooling runs in two semesters, just like home. Wrap your stay around a term so your children join, settle and finish cleanly — then extend or roll out at the end of any semester.

When do the school semesters run?+

Semester 1 runs Aug 17 to Dec 18, 2026 (18 weeks); Semester 2 runs Jan 5 to Jun 2, 2027 (21 weeks). For the smoothest transition, join at the start of a semester — though a one-month stay can drop in any time of year.

How does the schooling work?+

Children are enrolled at the on-site Montessori school in Próspera, with full school days led by trained facilitators, a short walk from your home. Semester stays integrate fully with fixed term dates. School details are available via Pristine Academy.

What ages is the school for?+

The on-site Montessori school welcomes a wide range of ages, with the child-led approach adapting across age groups. Tell us your children's ages on your call and we'll confirm the fit.

Is Próspera safe for kids?+

Próspera is a small, gated, walkable community built around families, with homes, the school and the beach club close together and easy for children to reach on foot or by bike. It's one of the main reasons families choose it.

Will we feel stuck in an expat bubble?+

No — and that's by design. Próspera sits within Roatán's real culture: local villages, markets, food and nature are part of everyday life, so your family is immersed in the place, not sealed off from it.

What's the difference between Las Verandas and the Residences?+

Las Verandas offers hotel-style suites and villas with ocean views and pools. The Residences are standalone family homes set among quiet green spaces, a short walk from the water — mostly two- and three-bedroom homes plus one six-bedroom. Both are available from a single month.

Final semester pricing is confirmed on your call. Longer stays come at a lower monthly rate, with the Full Year being the best value.

Do you help with residency or taxes?+

Próspera is a special economic zone with its own residency, tax and business-formation pathways. Our team can connect you with these as an optional add-on — it's never required to join.

What is the cancellation policy?+

Please contact the Noma team directly for the most current cancellation and roll-out policy for the hub.
