Known as Namibia’s “cool” capital, Windhoek has a unique mix of influences and when you’re strolling the streets you’ll see both German colonial architecture and contemporary Namibian design and hear German, English and Afrikaans languages.
Outside of the city you’ll be greeted by dramatic desert landscapes, the mighty Eros Mountains and the Daan Viljoen Nature Reserve where you can spot wildlife. A trip to Windhoek wouldn’t be complete without partaking in a Braai, a traditional barbecue where meat is cooked over wood or charcoal. More than just a meal, Braai is a social event centred around food, fire and friends.

Desolate and rugged, the Skeleton Coast is named because of the whale bones that once littered the shoreline and its treacherous conditions which have caused thousands of shipwrecks. This dramatic coastline is hauntingly beautiful and a must-visit.
